Google is rolling out a new Android update designed to make phones much harder to steal—great news for customers and dealers dealing with theft, fraud, and account takeovers. Wireless dealers can turn this into a trust-building service by offering a quick “Anti-Theft Setup” (screen lock, Find My Device, SIM protection, backups) and bundling protection plans and accessories.
