The port-out process for Black Wireless allows customers to keep their existing phone number when switching to another carrier. It involves verifying the customer’s account information and ensuring the account is active before the transfer can take place. Once approved by both carriers, the number transfer is usually completed quickly and seamlessly, minimizing any disruption in service.
🔹 1. Gather Required Info
To port your Black Wireless number to another carrier, you’ll need:
Account Number:
Found in your Black Wireless online account at blackwireless.com, or
Call Black Wireless Customer Care at 1-855-511-3390 and request your account number.Port-Out PIN (Account PIN):
Contact Black Wireless at 1-855-511-3390 and ask for your Port-Out PIN or Account Security PIN.
This PIN is required by your new carrier to authorize the number transfer.Billing ZIP Code:
Use the ZIP associated with your Black Wireless billing address.
🔹 2. Keep the Account Active
Your Black Wireless service must remain active while the port is in progress.
Do not cancel your service before the transfer completes, or your number may be lost.
🔹 3. Give Info to the New Carrier
Provide your new carrier with:
Black Wireless account number
Port-Out PIN
Billing ZIP Code
Your new carrier will handle the transfer request directly with Black Wireless.
🔹 4. Wait for Completion
Wireless-to-wireless ports: usually take minutes to a few hours.
Landline or VoIP ports: can take 1–3 business days.
During the transition, you may experience a short period of no service.
Once the transfer is complete, your Black Wireless account automatically closes.
🔹 5. Confirm and Stop Auto-Pay
After the port completes:
Log in to your Black Wireless account or call 1-855-511-3390 to confirm closure.
Disable AutoPay if still active to avoid further billing.
