Device Compatibility Checker (by carrier) FAQ's
Which devices does the checker cover?
Major iPhones, Samsung Galaxy, Pixel, OnePlus, Motorola, and other widely-distributed Android models. Less common or imported devices may not be in the database - check device manufacturer site as backup.
What does 'partially compatible' mean?
Device works for voice/text but may have limited 5G access, missing band support, or restricted features on that carrier. Often acceptable for customers prioritizing budget over peak performance. Set expectations clearly.
Why might a device be incompatible?
Network band differences (US carriers use different bands than international markets), CDMA-only devices on GSM networks, missing VoLTE support on networks shutting down older voice tech, and similar technical mismatches between phone and network.
Does the checker work for prepaid carriers?
Yes - covers major prepaid and MVNO carriers in addition to postpaid. MVNOs sometimes have stricter compatibility requirements than their underlying carrier networks. Check before you commit to any activation transaction.
