Accessory Attach Rate Calculator FAQ's
What is accessory attach rate?
Attach rate is the percent of device sales that also included an accessory sale — accessory units divided by device sales, times 100. If someone sold 100 phones and 60 accessories, that's a 60% attach rate. It's one of the fastest ways to see who's actually asking for the add-on sale.
Why does the team attach rate differ from the average of everyone's rate?
The team rate here is volume-weighted — total accessory units divided by total device sales across everyone. The average is a simple mean of each employee's individual rate. If your highest-volume seller has a weak attach rate, the volume-weighted team number will run lower than the simple average, and that gap is worth watching.
How many employees can I compare at once?
Start with one and add as many as you need with the Add Employee button. Each row calculates its own attach rate, accessories per device, and revenue per device live as you type, and the team summary updates everyone at once when you hit Calculate.
What's a good attach rate benchmark for a wireless store?
It varies a lot by store type, price point, and what counts as an 'accessory' in your reporting — verify current targets with your carrier or master agent rather than chasing a generic number. Use this tool to track your own trend over time and compare employees against each other, not against an industry myth.
