T-Mobile is getting ready to release a couple of affordable smartphones real soon.
The Moto E5 Plus and Moto E5 Play are set to be available this coming Friday, July 27th. Even though these two phones are already being sold by other U.S. carriers, T-Mobile customers will have to wait until then to get these affordable devices.
The upcoming launch of these two phones is not yet confirmed official. But the wireless network may have accidentally leaked information about these two devices by creating a support page for them prior to their launch. You can find the support pages of these phones on T-Mobile's website, along with information on their release date.
Moto E5 Plus
This phone comes with a 6-inch IPS LCD display with a 720x1440 resolution. From within, it is running on a 1.4GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor with 3GB of RAM, 32GB onboard storage, and up to 128GB memory expansion via a microSD card. The phone can take pictures with its 12-megapixel rear-facing camera or the 8-megapixel camera in front. The rear camera can also record 1080p HD videos.
Other features included in this budget-friendly smartphone include a 5000mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor. Upon release, this phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo.
Moto E5 Play
The Moto E5 Play comes as a smaller model compared to the E5 Plus. It has a 5.2-inch LCD display with 720x1280 resolution. A 1.4GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor runs from within together with 2GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, and a microSD card slot for up to 128GB memory expansion.
As a budget device, the E5 Play has an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with 1080p HD video recording, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. This phone has a 2800mAh battery, fingerprint sensor, and splash resistance. It also runs Android 8.0 Oreo upon release.
On the support pages, T-Mobile has included a blue color for the Moto E5 Plus and a grey color for the Moto E5 Play. Even though these phones have other color options available, it's still unclear whether or not these will be the only colors available.
As of this writing, there is no word on how much T-Mobile will be selling these two devices. But based on the current price of these phones in the market, T-Mobile could sell the Moto E5 Plus for $200 and the Moto E5 Play for $100.
Let's hang onto our seats until July 27th.
