T-Mobile has performed well in Ookla’s recent speed test reports, and that trend continues again today.
T-Mobile has come out on top in Ookla’s speed test report for Q1 2018, marking the 17th straight quarter that Ookla has named T-Mo’s 4G LTE network the fastest in the U.S. For Q1 2018, T-Mobile put up an average LTE download speed of 32.1Mbps and an average LTE upload speed of 12.0Mbps.
Neville Ray, T-Mobile’s CTO, says that T-Mo’s LTE download speed has gone up 30 percent year-over-year.
To compare, Verizon came in second in Ookla’s report with an average LTE download speed of 29.7Mbps and an average LTE upload speed of 9.8Mbps. AT&T came in third with 25.8Mbps and 7.9Mbps download and upload LTE speeds, respectively, while Sprint finished fourth with an average LTE download speed of 23.8Mbps and an average LTE upload speed of 3.3Mbps.
