A new mobile hotspot data plan has been released by T-Mobile's prepaid brand, MetroPCS. The new plan was unveiled earlier today and offers 10GB of LTE data for only $35 per month.
While this may seem like big news, there is a downside to the announcement. The plan can only be connected with an Alcatel LINKZONE, a mobile hotspot device sold by the carrier with a regular price of $79. For a limited time, however, the LINKZONE will be available for $49.
The LINKZONE comes with 4G LTE connectivity. It runs on a single-core 1.2GHz processor with 128MB RAM and 256MB memory. The device has a 1800mAh battery that helps it last up to 6 hours of continuous use or 12.5 days in standby mode. It is capable of connecting up to 15 devices simultaneously.
With MetroPCS' new hotspot data plan, you can use the device to connect to the internet using your smartphone, tablet, gaming console, laptop, and any other gadget you use. You can use the allotted 10GB of data to watch a total of 10 hours of standard videos, listen to 2,000 songs, enjoy gameplay of up to 7 hours, and even view HD videos for 3 hours. If you need more data to add to your plan, you can purchase more by paying $5/month for 2GB, $10/month for 4GB, $15/month for 6GB.
