When high speed data limit is reached in a month, U.S. Cellular throttles data to around 100 Kbps until the next billing cycle.

U.S Cellular Prepaid Plans Compared to Other Prepaid Carriers’ Offers

Improvements that carrier made on its prepaid plan offerings are good but there are better, cheaper offers at prepaid market, currently. T-Mobile, for example, offers $30 plan with 100 minutes, unlimited text and 5GB of LTE data while Sprint’s Virgin Mobile and Verizon MVNOTotal Wireless offer 5GB data and unlimited service for $35.

AT&T’s Cricket and T-Mobile’s MetroPCS offer unlimited LTE for $65 and $60, respectively and 8GB for $50 and even Verizon prepaid gives  its customers currently 7GB for $50 or 12GB for $70.

Who will users choose depends not just on data and coverage but also on customer support that proves to be crucial, especially for customers who’ve had bad experience. And U.S. Cellular has a top rated US-based customer support.
