MVNO Spotlight: Ultra Mobile

November 28, 2016

Ultra Mobile is a no contract MVNO that operates on the T-Mobile Network.  Ultra Mobile has managed to put together a pretty awesome International offering.  All of their plans come with some sort of international calling offering.  As for their plans, they seem to have found a sweet spot in the low data market and staying away from high data users.  In a way it is a very smart play as it is hard to compete with the likes of Simple, Metro, and T-Mobile, but it allows them to target their niche market.  As a multi carrier Ultra Mobile is a must carry in your store, as it will allow you to cater to more International customers and low data using customers.

Pros:

- Free International calling to over 60 destinations

- International direct dial

- Call Me Free option from participating countries

- Plans as low as $19.99

- Bring your own device

- You dictate pricing of your phones

Cons:

- Not the best data offerings

- Limited plans

- On very competitive T-Mobile network

- Open proximity, anyone can sell Ultra Mobile
