Back in August, Project Fi announced that it has cancelled its text forwarding feature without explaining its decision for doing so. Thankfully, that was the only thing Project Fi put a stop to. With today's news, however, it seems like we're getting a clearer understanding on the decision made by the Google MVNO a few months ago. Just recently, a Reddit user found a pamphlet inside a Google Pixel. The pamphlet shows an important announcement that Project Fi may soon officially announce. According to the pamphlet, Project Fi is rebranding itself into Google Fi. The pamphlet even shows the new logo that the MVNO will be carrying in the future. As of this writing, there's no word on what else the MVNO will be changing along with the rebranding. But it may have something to do with its previous decision to cancel its text forwarding feature. There's also no word on when this rebranding will officially roll out.
