AT&T’s prepaid division introduced a new Unlimited plan designed to compete with Verizon Prepaid $75 Unlimited plan. New AT&T Prepaid $85 unlimited plan includes unlimited talk, text and 4G LTE data with mobile hotspot allotment and HD video streaming. The plan costs $75 per month if customers enroll in AutoPay.
The plan is offering 6GB of LTE data for mobile hotspot. After 6GB, hotspot speed is limited to 128Kbps and this data is available only for use in the U.S. Unlimited 4G LTE data in the $85 plan, however, might slow down when users reach 22GB during a month. Carrier reduces data speeds due to network congestion, same as for the $65 plan.
Other AT&T Prepaid unlimited monthly plans remain unchanged:
$35 plan ($30 with autopay) – unlimited talk, text and data with 1GBat high speed, mobile hotspot and HD Video
$45 plan ($40 with autopay) – unlimited talk, text and data with 6GBat high speed, mobile hotspot and HD Video
$65 plan ($60 with autopay) – unlimited talk, text and data with download speeds limited to 3Mbps, video at 480p resolution and streaming at 1.5Mbps
$85 plan ($75 with autopay) – unlimited talk, text and 4G LTE data, 6GB of LTE mobile hotspot and HD video streaming (new)
All plans come with unlimited text to over 100 countries while $45, $65 and now $85 plans offer free data roaming and calls and texts to and from Canada and Mexico. On the $35, $45 and $85 plans customers can use Stream Saver feature to optimize streaming at Standard Definition quality (about 480p) and save LTE data for longer.
Also, all plans qualify for multi-line discounts. Multi-Line discounts provide $5 off the second added line, $10 off the third line, $15 off the fourth and $20 off the fifth line per month.
